was created in 2007 as a new initiative at the College. Headed by the Vice President of Education and Student Services, HLAR reports directly to the President of the College and consults with various committees including First Nations Council.
The name House of Learning and Applied Research was chosen explicitly to acknowledge the essential role Aboriginal people have in post secondary education in the Northwest, and to raise the profile of the applied research activities at the college.
