Program Overview
Northwest Community College offers the BC Welder Training Program and Welder Upgrading. Presently the BC Welder Training Program is offered in two formats – Modular and Apprenticeship. Although the training and work experience time vary, both formats end with the same Certificate of Qualification (CQ): “Welder Level A.”
Welder Upgrading is available upon request and as space permits to those wishing to improve their techniques or become proficient in special processes. Welders requesting Boiler Pressure Vessel Certification can apply directly to the Welding Department at either the Prince Rupert or the Terrace campus.
