HIST 201 Imperialism from the Mid-19th Century to the Present

We shall be dealing with a variety of notions, theories and analysis to find out about the historical origins and socio-political implications of empire building by European countries and the U.S. We shall examine general policies and individual events in order to explain two world wars, changes in the nature of society and the relations of developed with underdeveloped countries in the past and in the present.
