ICMH 120 - Family Relationships & Psychiatric Health

In recognition of the relational complexity of family systems and the effect on psychiatric presentations in children and youth, students will review developmental stages, family structures, and dynamics effecting family well-being. Factors including parental mental health, poverty and housing, transgenerational trauma, fostering and adoption and more will be discussed.

Successful completion of English 12 or equivalent. Experience working with infants, children, and/ or youth preferred.
