ICT 120 Foundations of Systems Development

This course introduces the tools and techniques that are used for systems analysis and design. Both the traditional and the object-oriented approach to systems analysis and design will be used. This involves methods of analysis for assessing the information needs of an organization and determining how computer systems can provide problem solving help. Requirements modeling will include additional coverage on use cases and use case descriptions. System design involves specifying in detail how the components of systems should be implemented and should be based on an in-depth understanding of the business problem obtained from systems analysis. At all stages throughout this course an interactive approach to systems development will be emphasized.
