NWCC’s experienced instructors teach first aid theory and the practical skills needed to be able to effectively manage workplace medical emergencies and in those areas where an OFA 3 certified person is required. The course provides 77 hours of instruction but also included in our offering is additional practical exercises to the class the weekend before the exams. Hands on exercises on the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) is also practiced. In addition to the textbooks, manuals and exam, refreshments and energy snacks will also be included. OFA 3 certification requires examinations (written, practical and oral) conducted by a certified examiner at the end of instruction. A score at or above 70% is required in order to be successful.
This certification is valid for 3 years from the date of the exam.

- A self-declaring medical form must be filled out.
- Participants must be 19 years of age for full certification. Restrictions apply for those students between 16 -18 years of age.
Note: If certification has been expired for more than two years, the candidate must re-do the full OFA 3 course.
