WST 119 FoodSafe Level 1

The purpose of the FoodSafe Level 1  is to create awareness of food borne illness and worker injury, reduce the possibility of food related illness, and share the importance of safe work habits in the food industry. This course was signed by the Ministry of Health in consultation with the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association and is designed for anyone working within the food industry. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a FoodSafe Certificate and become registered in the BC Centre for Disease Control Database.


Prerequisites: Some reading ability and WST 118 is preferred.
