The Irving K. Barber British Columbia International Scholarships have been created by the Province of British Columbia and the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society. Scholarships will be given to Northwest Community College students who are pursuing part of their post-secondary studies and other approved experiential learning opportunities overseas.
The scholarship programs are intended to expand education opportunities for students and to recognize students who are educationally curious and interested in expanding their learning experiences in academic and work-related programs outside Canada.
The One World scholarship program is open to eligible students enrolled in a program of at least one year in length, leading to a credential offered by Northwest Community College. Students must have been accepted into a study or work abroad program that forms an integral part of their credential studies or that carries academic credit recognized by the student’s home institution. The study abroad program must be at least 3 weeks in length and no longer than one year.
