Bursary Program for Houston Area Residents
In 2000/2001 the Morice Community Skills Centre (MCSC) based in Houston, BC, formally integrated its operations with Coast Mountain College (CMTN). The MCSC created a Legacy Fund Bursary program through CMTN. Each year CMTN, through the Morice Community Skills Center Legacy Fund offers bursaries to Houston area adults. The purpose of the MCSC Legacy Fund is to encourage and financially assist adult access and participation in formal learning and skill development. Value of individual awards will be determined on an annual basis.
Adult students who are residents of the Houston area, including Area G and Granisle, who have identified/applied for a program or course of instruction by an accredited post-secondary training institute or a training agency and who demonstrate financial need may be approved for bursaries.
