Our Infant & Child Mental Health (ICMH) program is designed to enhance the ability of front-line workers to effectively and empathically understand and support children with mental health concerns.
Starting in February of 2017, NWCC offers five courses in classroom at the Terrace and Prince Rupert campuses. Courses will also be offered through videoconferencing.
Our program will focus on developmental process, as well as risk factors that can impede normative development. Courses are structured to enrich learning for students currently involved in NWCC’s Health & Human Health Service programs (i.e. ECE, Social Services Work, Nursing and Education) and engage Professionals working in community-based and institutional settings who would like to seek Professional Development.
