Work Experience 050 recognizes that many adult students have gained significant workplace skills and knowledge and is intended, in part, to provide these students with a framework to recognize and reflect on this previous work experience. The course includes opportunities to demonstrate knowledge of workplace health and safety, effective communication, workplace ethics, and labour relations, as well as mastery of technical and applied skills, knowledge, and attitude for success in the workplace. For displaced workers, this course can help with the transition to a new job. It is recognized as a provincial-level elective toward the BC Adult Graduation Diploma.
